OMG...here I go

OK, I can't believe that I am about to do this. Most women won't tell you how old they are. I am about to go where very few women go... my stats. I have to say that they are much worse than I thought. Here they are:

Age:32
Height: 5'4"
Weight: 217.5 lbs
Upper arm: 14"
Breast: 46"
Waist: 43"
Hips: 53"
Thigh: 27"

Well, moving on from there. (It is as if I just dropped all of my clothes onto the floor and I am standing totally naked in front of you.) I made it through some big challenges today. Pastors meetings always involves food. This one was PIZZA. Are you hearing me??? PIZZA!!! I went and picked up a salad. This salad was funkalicious for sure. It was a spring mix with mandarin oranges, red peppers, portobello mushrooms, corn and a little goat cheese. No dressing. Just a tad balsamic vinegar. It was way too big so I gave half to a friend before I ever started eating. I know that carbs are not my friend, but I feel like grown carbs are better than processed carbs. Any impute on that lunch? Good choice? Could be better?

I am off to walk. It is freezing outside. No excuses. Tonight my companions will be the dogs and William. I think this whole thing may have opened his eyes to a little weight gain on his part too. He even weighed himself. I am not telling, but I think it was as much of a shocker for him as my 27" thigh was for me!

  1. Good job today Leah! Being Italian and all, I know how difficult it was to pass up that comfort food. Your lunch sounds so fab! Yummy. Next time skip the oranges (lotsa sugar) and add some lean meat. The goat cheese has protein, true, but is loaded with fat calories. You do need protein to keep you feeling full. The oranges would be a wonderful addition if you were on your way to work out and needed the extra 'good carbs', but when you are sitting in meetings all day... no bueno!

How fun that William will be joining you for some romantic walks. Great bonding time and I am sure there is a field or two that you can pause for a 'nature hug' and enjoy the quiet time together. Yea! Day one down... YOU GO GIRL!!!!

  2. Yeah, the stats aren't too bad, really. what is a 27 inch thigh anyway, sounds tasty. And btw, your sister is a freak. I mean oranges, comeon Gene, oranges??!! HA ha ha. NO ORANGES for you!! try kale. Mmmmmmm, kale.

  3. Hey Beanhead, Nothin wrong with kale. It is packed with vitamins! I know that the orange thing might sound a little extreme, but for me (and I am no nutritionist... obviously) the sugars tend to sit and stay, and make me crave more sweet things. Just in the beginning? Leah, listen to Gina when it comes to be being well balanced. I tend to swing towards the low-carb way of eating. And, that is not always good. Hugs and kisses to you both!

  4. Just as a FYI... I THINK YOU ARE BOTH FREAKS but I look up to you both. Gene, you have been an inspiration to watch. Gina, you are just a freak of nature in general. Thank you both for loving me so much. The truth is, I am not listen to either of you. I am eating oranges wrapped in kale as I type... XOXO

  5. Mmmmmmmmmm, oranges wrapped in Kale. I never tried that. Freak of nature is true. You know; you have seen me dance!! It ain't pretty. But hey, I'm not afraid to shake that thang. oh yeah oh yeah. Not all of us grew up in the Elsenor Ghetto hittin the pipe and rump bumpin with the colored folks. Hey, remember that terribly skinny tiny little boy that I danced with, or more accurately completly dominated, at your 15th b-day DJ dance party. I had braces AND zits. That was cool.
